Photography group walk/adventure.
•March 29, 2009 • 2 CommentsToday the weather finally gave us a nice break just in time for the weekend, meaning a great opportunity to participate in a random trip with some local photographers! It was a fantastic time hanging out, discussing photography, and of course just having a good time outside shooting just about whatever. Although in the beginning it took us some time driving around small places Saskatchewan such as Lumsden and Craven searching for a good “spot”. Needless to say after a few wrong turns and a run in with a heard of wild deer that refused to be photographed we eventually came across two short strips of train freight cars running parallel to each other making it something worth while to check out.

(Brought along my Praktica for the ride, can’t wait to develop this role when it’s finished!)
First three images were taken by me and the two others by Terry and Jason.
I’m stoked to have taken such a beautiful day off from the heavy loads of homework to go shoot and meet new people. Hope to have more adventures like this soon, because from now on it can only get nicer out which means more photogenic opportunities on the side!
Summer job also = new camera gear to work towards and learn to use. This trip gave me lens envy .. =P
Well looks like I have to wrap this entry up and get to bed because it’s back to the grind stone tomorrow!

First official post.
•March 27, 2009 • 2 CommentsAlright after sitting for a couple of hours figuring out WordPress for the first time I have finally completed as much as I can for the time being. I’m really excited because this is going to be a great site for discussing my on going projects, other inspiring art, and various other info posts..
Once my summer job gets going and I have a steady income again I’m going to look into purchasing hosting services to obtain a domain name as well as credits towards a custom css layout. I know once I reach that point this little space on the internet is going to become very cozy for me. But until then there will be a lot of testing and changing going on.
Glad to see everything works so smoothly, I really enjoy being able to show my Flickr photostream as well as feeds from my Twitter.
And just because I can I’m going to share my current work in progress. An acrylic painting that will be sold (once done of course) at a local arts festival held annually in our quaint little city that is being held this summer.

Close up on face + hair.
Honestly a tad tedious but still something I enjoy working on in between homework and life.
Hurrah I feel my first post has proven to be sufficient. Although I haven’t formally made an introduction for myself, be sure to check back and peek at the “About” page where eventually there will be a bit more of a bio/background there.
Thanks for stopping by!
